How to read this estimate
What this calculator is for
Batch APIs can be useful for classification, enrichment, offline evaluation, content processing and other work that does not need a real-time response. The exact rules differ by provider.
How to read the result
Estimated batch cost is the modeled discounted total for your requests. Standard processing is the non-batch baseline; Savings / month is the difference. The annual savings metric multiplies that monthly difference by 12.
The math
Estimated batch cost = standard modeled request cost × (1 − chosen batch discount).
Pricing sources
Rates use the published TokenCOGS pricing registry and its September 16, 2026 fallback snapshot. Live values may differ; see methodology and source limitations before procurement.
Planning limitations
Actual invoices can differ because providers may apply long-context pricing, caching rules, batch rates, tool-call fees, regional processing, negotiated contracts, taxes, or future pricing changes. Treat the output as a planning estimate.
Use it to create scenarios and catch order-of-magnitude mistakes. Before committing spend, verify the selected model's live provider pricing and compare the estimate with actual usage telemetry.
Does every provider or request qualify for the displayed discount?
No. The batch discount is an adjustable assumption, not a guarantee. Confirm model eligibility and processing restrictions with the provider.
When should I use batch processing?
Use it for delay-tolerant workloads after checking provider limits, turnaround guarantees, supported models and exact discount terms.
